COBRA FIXED MOUNT DUAL WATCH DSC 25 WATT RADIO

This radio is a VHF transceiver for fixed mounting on your boat. It gives you 2-way vessel-to-vessel and vessel-to-shore station communications, primarily for safety and secondarily for navigation and operational purposes. With it, you can call for help, get information from other boaters, talk to lock or bridge tenders and make radiotelephone calls to anywhere in the world through a marine operator.

The MRF55-D has the latest in Class-D Digital Selective Calling (DSC) Technology, a Dual Watch feature, Dot Matrix Display Area, an adjustable backlight, and function keys on the mic. The Cobra MR F55 is a full function DSC-capable VHF radio. Its compact design and included flush and bracket mounting kits make it great for any installation. The selectable 1 or 25 Watt output is perfect for short or long-range communication.

The F55-D is designed for ease-of-use, with equipped noise-canceling control to muffle background noise, as well as Channel 16/9 access for further emergency support.  The F55 has a modular design that enables those with access to a Cobra GPS or similar optional receiver to connect to the radio unit and transmit location data to other vessels.

Cobra features access to NOAA and Weather information channels, the Cobra MR F55-D can keep you up-to-date on all the latest weather patterns and movements, with an integrated alarm you can set to warn about threatening weather. If the worst should happen, take advantage of the radio's DSC facility, allowing you to send distress signals with the touch of a button - or even just keep tabs on who's calling with the DSC Call Log.  This submersible unit has selectable 1 or 25 Watt output power.
