This model replaces the discontinued LXT385VP3.

Hands-free operation is supported and the hands-free feature is made simpler by the headsets that are optional. Other features include a selectable high/low power modes and channel scan. A 3 year warranty is also provided by Midland on this model. The Midland LXT535VP3 is also certified lead free. The Midland LXT-535 supports 22 standard FRS/GMRS channels. The LXT-535 is designed with the hunter in mind, featuring a "Mossy Oak" camouflage and headset capable.
