The PRYME SPM-2000 Series surveillance kit is for anyone who needs low-profile, dependable communications. The kit includes an acoustic tube earphone and slim line microphone. It is meant to be worn under the user's clothing with the mic dropped down the user's shirt sleeve or clipped to their lapel.
In addition to being stealthy the SPM-2000 is also durable. It has a heavy microphone cable with a strong polyurethane jacket and superior strain relief. The mic housing is made of high impact polycarbonate for long field life. The entire earphone is easily removable and can be replaced or repaired to extend the life of the product.

PRYME Radio Products warrants this product against defects in materials or workmanship for a period of one year from the date of retail purchase.PRYME will repair or replace a defective unit, at our option, without charge for parts or labor. The limited warranty is extended only to the original purchaser and is valid only to consumers in the United States and Canada. It does not cover damage or failure caused by or attributable to Acts of God, abuse, misuse, improper or abnormal usage, faulty installation, improper maintenance, lightning, or other incidences of excessive voltage, or any tampering or repairs by other than a PRYME authorized repair facility. It does not cover replacement of consumable parts, transportation costs, or damage in transit. Repair or replacement under the terms of this warranty does not extend the terms of this warranty.
This warranty can only be modified by an office of PRYME Radio Products, and then only in writing. Should this product prove defective in workmanship or material, the consumer’s sole remedies shall be such repair or replacement as provided by the terms of this warranty. Could be improved
I have purchased six units, and they work well for the most part. With the Motorola DTR550 radios we use, the connecting pins seem to be a little too short. It is sometimes difficult to get them to seat fully into the radio, resulting in problems. Additionally, the screw holding the alligator clip onto the mic must constantly be tightened or they will loosen until they fall completely out. I am trying to obtain replacement screws as I have one unit unusable until then.
Other than these flaws, I've been pleased with the performance of these units. -
Top notch product
Although the Pryme SPM-2000 Earset is listed as having a lapel mic, it's actually one of the best such products to use as a palm mic, because the mic cord is long enough to run down the sleeve. The coiled cords also mean it can fit a variety of users of different heights without loose, dangling wires being a nuisance.
Although this earset cost more than the radio I bought it for, it is rugged and overall much better made than the radio maker's version. The wires are thick, and there are strain-resistant cuffs at the hardware junctions.
If only it were available in beige instead of just black it would be perfect. (Hint hint, Pryme.)
If you are in the need for a discreet (but not invisible; there are better products for that these days) communications setup, I can whole-heartedly recommend the Pryme SPM-2000.
